Bops Now Playing for Sonos

New features

  • Background animations now pause when playback is paused. The track name now shimmers subtly while playing. Queue up some bops to watch the app come alive!
  • When controls have disappeared after the idle timeout, new remote gestures provide quick control. Swiping/tapping up and down control volume, while swiping right or double tapping the next button skips to the next track.
  • Shuffle and repeat controls can be displayed when relevant if enabled.
  • Album artwork is now displayed alongside each Room’s name in selection views, and is subtly animated when playing. This makes it super easy to find and join a group that’s already playing your favorite bop!

TV mode

Bug fixes and improvements

  • Background animations are extended to room picker tab to keep you in the groove. More customization options are available in the settings.
  • Album artwork is now more consistent when playing Airplay sources.
  • Stream quality information is displayed more quickly and consistently.
  • Device description and album art API request caching has been improved to enhance performance.
