v2025.9.1-beta+3375
This release adds supports for the new Liquid Glass design system and expands the scrolling window on devices running to the full width of the device for those running iOS 26. Yay? Read on for more as always.
New Features
- iOS 26 Liquid Glass.
- Expanded scrolling window on iOS 26 devices. Such Albums, so many Art.
- iOS 26 devices get a new tabBarAccessory UI for the playback status bar; its growing on me?
- Faster initial discovery: in most cases all rooms should appear ~15 seconds after first launch. Still not fast enough.
- Added the provenance of saved queues to widgets so you know from whence your tracks have come.
- Added a button to mute the entire current group. Can be turned off in settings.
- Added the numerical value of the current groups’ volume, for those who like to be precise. Can be turned off in settings.
- The current volume of a Room is communicated with an opacity mask over its album art, which is not confusing at all.
- The Genres tab now exists (on iPad, landscape, work in progress, probably doomed).
Bugfixes and Improvements
- Tips are now displayed in a consistent order.
- Made the popular icon… marginally less unpopular.
- NavigationLinks now consistently navigate.
- Grids don’t leave empty spaces due to duplicate items slipping through.
- Grid size is now cacluated based on the space available on the screen. Items will appear smaller on some smaller devices, is seemingly what people with smaller devices want.
- Fixed crashes in room settings and when shrinking/hiding sheets. I’m sure some still remain, especially in the split view.
- Improved the troubleshooting sheet design.
- Stale song details clear properly when listening to Stations.
- Text doesn’t cut off (as much).
- Fixed queue syncing, the last release had mostly broken it due to some refactoring. Such is progress.
We’re way past one point oh over here; it’s time to call it I think. Submitting this for review tomorrow, hopefully. Thanks for helping me test ❤️.
